The ‘Multidisciplinary School of Economic Intelligence’ (MDSEI) has been functioning within the campus of NACIN ZTI Mumbai and is engaged in capacity-building in the area of ‘economic intelligence’.
In recent years, under the aegis of MDSEI, various training programs and seminars have been organized to make enforcement officers aware of the cross-linkages between organized economic crimes such as smuggling of contraband, narcotics, FICN, arms, trans-national commercial frauds, illicit trade in wildlife, illegal transfers of nuclear/ chemical/biological materials, money-laundering etc in different parts of the world and ways, measures, tools and systems available with enforcement agencies to combat these. The participants are drawn from various Agencies such as Income Tax, Police, Enforcement Directorate, Customs, CGST, Banks, CISF and many more.
