NACIN, Regional Training Institute, Hyderabad was set up in November, 2002. With effect from 01.07.2017, the Regional Training Institute has been upgraded as Zonal Training Institute. Since 01.04.2015, the Institute is functioning in rented premises situated at 1st Floor, Krishna Block of Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resources Development Institute, Road No. 25, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad – 500033. A permanent new building for NACIN, Zonal Campus, Hyderabad is under construction located at Pillar No. 167, Attapur, Hyderabad adjacent to the PVNR Express way to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The aerial extent of site is 4.12 acres. The new campus is located at a distance of 10 Km from Hyderabad Railway Station and about 22 Km from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport towards city.

The new Zonal Campus is designed with a built-up area of 12,101 Sq.mt. consisting of four blocks:

• Administrative Block (1699 Sq mt)
• Training / Auditorium Block (5659 Sq mt)
• Hostel Block (3224 Sq mt)
• Residential Block, etc. (1519 Sq mt)

The Zonal Campus is Centre of Excellence for Human Resource Development, enhancement of knowledge, skills and competencies of officers working in Telangana State. The NACIN, Zonal Campus, Hyderabad caters to the training needs of officers of Group B and C of cadre strength 1689 (including ministerial staff) of Hyderabad Zone consisting of Hyderabad GST Commissionerate; Secunderabad GST Commissionerate; Medchal GST Commissionerate; Ranga Reddy GST Commissionerate; Hyderabad Audit-I Commissionerate; Hyderabad Audit-II Commissionerate; Hyderabad Appeals Commissionerate-I; Hyderabad Appeals Commissionerate-II; Hyderabad Customs Commissionerate; and Directorates like DG Audit, DGoV, DGPM, DRI, DGGI.

The Academy also conducts awareness programmes to trade and industry and intermediaries like Customs Brokers, GST Practitioners etc., on various aspects of law and procedures.

NACIN, Zonal Campus, Hyderabad also trains State GST officers on areas of GST matters particularly on Audit, Taxes on Services that are not familiar to State GST officers. NACIN, Zonal Campus, Hyderabad also conducts awareness programs to trade and industry on areas of interest to them when there is a change in law and procedure either during budget or during financial year with an intention to improve compliance management and reduce transactional cost to the trade.
